City of Katy, TX – Civic Center Building & Visitors Center Building

The City of Katy undertook the complete renovation and adaptive re-use of the entire city block, which original housed the old City Hall complex. To guide the effort, the City of Katy commissioned Blueline to oversee design and construction of two (2) key existing campus buildings; the former City Hall, repurposed as a public meeting hall, or “Civic Center” and the former City Library, repurposed as a new “Visitors Center”. The scope of work included selective demolition and new construction to accommodate new assembly spaces, new interior display spaces, public restroom, concession/food service area and ancillary spaces.
